Gabriel “GG” Griffith was originally a member of the Dallas Steaks, and has played for the Hawai’i Fridays, the San Francisco Lovers, and the Hades Tigers before joining the Firefighters. They now play for the Baltimore Crabs.
Griffith has been cursed (or blessed) by capricious gods, but the nature of the curse (or blessing) is disputed. Some experts argue he is a man granted the head of an eagle, while others contend he is an eagle given the body of a man. Gabe was known for his incredible talent at the splort, often placing high on multiple "best player ever" lists. His stat reroll after Fall-Ball probably isn't sitting too well with him. To this day, he can often be seen as having an arrogant attitude, due to his habit of telling his opponents "GG" after games. One popular theory suggests Griffith is repeating his initials rather than wishing them a good game. Likewise, his habit of appearing unprompted at fan cookouts is divisive. It's rare to see an autographed "King of the Grill" apron containing Griffith's name where it isn't obscuring someone else. During his time in Chicago, he had a rivalry-turned-friendship with fellow pitcher Kennedy Rodgers. On the Crabs, he now pitches alongside another previous Firefighter, Declan Suzanne. Like all of us, he is from Chicago. |
